Placement on fleece
- Left chest: 3 to 4 inches wide, centered above the pouch pocket, about 7 to 8 inches below the shoulder seam.
- Hood: small logo or text on the side of the hood, quoted per job.
- Sleeve: 2 to 3 inches wide on the upper left or right arm, quoted per job.
- Full back: large embroidery is possible but stitch-heavy; usually a screen print is the better answer. Quoted per design.
Why embroidery holds up on fleece
Fleece is thick and stable, so a left-chest logo sits flat and does not pucker if the backing is right. We use cutaway backing on sweatshirts and Rapos polyester thread, which keeps its color through hundreds of washes. Fine text under about 0.25 inch tall gets simplified on the proof; we tell you before we stitch.
Embroidery vs screen print
Embroidery costs more per piece at low quantities but has no screen fees and reads as uniform-grade. Screen print is cheaper at 48+ and is the only sensible choice for a big front or back graphic. The embroidery vs print guide has the math.
Questions
How big can a left-chest logo be on a hoodie?
Up to about 4 inches wide fits above the pouch pocket on an adult hoodie. Most company logos look right at 3 to 3.5 inches.
Can you embroider a hoodie I already bought?
Yes. Customer-supplied goods are $2 per item handling plus the embroidery rate, and we ask you to allow about 4% spoilage; we aim for zero.
Do you keep my digitized file?
Yes. Digitizing is paid once ($18.99) and we keep the file for reorders.
